aaaaa......

I'll leave it to you.

And we kick off the day by learning about motivation in teaching. Well, I would say that it is a basic thing that everyone should have in order to get what they want.

Some issues that we have discussed in the class are: -

  • One tips that she shares with us is-->> LOVE your subject and care for you students. First, find something that reminds of what makes you love English (the subject that I'll be teaching).
  • In a class, you have to start well. Don't just go into the class and say, 'Okay, turn to page 45, do this in pair, bla bla bla...' Bored!!
  • Think about your favourite teacher, the one that you still remember up till now. And why do you remember him/her? Some of the answers that I could remember are:
    - The passion that the teacher shows
    - The positive feedback that she gave
    - The motivation that she always provide
    - The hard work
    - Been an aspiration towards me.

From theses answer that we provide, Roisin said that we (the soon-to-be-teacher) should have and try to portray to the students later. We were like, WOW!!
  • It's very important to build rapport (pronounce without the presence of 't').
  • Trust-->> You trust your students. And the students trust you.
  • When the motivation is high, The discipline problem will be low.
  • If you don't like your teaching career, quit the job and find another career. And if possible, find a career which could be related to what u have been studying. E.g: publish a text book.
  • The students could read your heart--> whether u r sincere or not.. hmm
[This is me with Adrian Underhill during the Spontaneity Conference]

This is my first say about teaching career.----->>> #Dealing with people is really a hard work.
